Soil and climate set the boundaries of what it's possible to grow in any particular place. Culture, technology and markets determine what's financially feasible. Transportation cost and speed affects the geographic extent of markets. The question is so broad it's hard to be more specific. Can you narrow it down some?

 Hello,As I am involved in WSN project and the basic application is to make a farmer benificial with the sensor data provided by our application.Sensors are spread on the feild and sensed data is updated to the farmer as soon as possible.

 My query is exactly what parameters we should concentrate (like humidity, soil moisture etc..).As the number of parametrs increases cost increases. So suggest me few which are more essential for the farmer (that effect the growth of the crops in general)
