Without complicating this, can we assume 6 different shells, 4 different meats, 15 different vegetables, and 6 different sauces?

It is the multtiplication principle. Just mutliply them together.

(6)(4)(15)(6)=

This is considering one of each is used. If we are using more sauces or more veggie, etc. then that is a different matter.

It is probably the former if the problem does not state otherwise.
