Hello -

I am currently getting Dish Signal to my main TV and I want to share the same signal to my bedroom. However, I do not want to put a splitter and run a cable through my living room to bed room. Instead I want to find out if I can somehow send the Dish signal out of the receiver to a cable jack that is pre-wired in my home (which is going to several rooms)...is it possible to simply send the output to one of the cable jack in the main room and connect a cable in Bed room Jack to a TV?

Any advise would be much appreciated.

as far as I know, this cannot be done. we had cable and switched to satelite. the satelite company had to run all new wiring to all 5 rooms it was being installed in because the wireing and the cables for cable and satelite are totally different and you can not run one on the other.

Their are several ways:
Modulate the Satellite Signal(assign an unused TV Channel) and mix with a backwards splitter, then say on channel 92 you can watch Satellite in other rooms.
A Video Sender(Transmitter at Sat and receivers at each TV).
UTP Balluns, Unshielded Twisted Pair with a Balun and sent over a twisted pair.

Can you draw a little diagram how everything is currently connected?
I Use to install many UHF antenna systems years ago. I always used RG6 instead of RG59, as the Higher the Frequency the greater the loss in Coax, So fo over 20 Years ALL Home I wired Have RG6. Cable company was still using RG 59. Cable company told me it didn't matter?
Plus you are not sending Satelitte Frequencies(you are on the output), RG 59 should work.
You may have RG 6 already?

Strat - Your first option made me think and googled a bit...found a solution...bought two diplexers from sears for $4 each and connected the output of one receiver back to coaxial cable wired inside my home. This allows me to share both Dish receiver output and internet signal on the same line. Then I used another diplexer outside of home to split the signal again and routed the signal to all other rooms in the house using a couple of splitters. VIOLA...it worked....

Good Deal, Diplexer was correct for Satellite, With cable you can use a splitter backwards.
