I guess I should have checked with the boss before I made that decision. So the fireplace sits in the corner where I thought it should be, but still in the crate! I am afraid that if I take it out of the crate I be be leaving in the crate... ballengerb1 Nov 5, 2009, 05:50 PM Crap, a cabin with no fireplace, come on, we can help you. I have installed over a dozen. honkesk Nov 5, 2009, 05:53 PM The problem is not the fireplace, the problem is that I got a "electric" fireplace. I should have listened to you guys earlier on that decision also! tkrussell Nov 6, 2009, 02:59 AM Yes, you should have taken the advice given here, these people know some stuff. Well done on the cabin wiring. Stratmando Nov 6, 2009, 09:18 AM I hope you got a Fireplace with a Remote Control. You don't want to walk across the room. Something to look at if you don't: http://www.nextag.com/remote-control-for-fireplace/compare-html Tev Nov 7, 2009, 05:09 PM Tell her you got the electric fireplace so she wouldn't have to chop and haul firewood. Yes, I'm kidding. Missouri Bound Nov 7, 2009, 08:39 PM Take the fireplace back....it's the only thing to do now. Gas is the only way to go, vented, ventless.....either way it's what you REALLY want.
