I have Sears Kenmore Top Loader Washer

It is agitating, its filling but it is not spinning or draining the water out

I think the lid switch is broken cause usually I can push it down with my fingerbut now
it is down all the way and very loose.

How do you get the to the switch?

I know it comes open somehow

Thanks for anyone who can help

Check the Sears Parts website and it will give you an exploded view of the washer. You can then find the switch you need as well.

Usually you use a small putty knife or equivalent to press in a spring clip on the front, just under the lip. You then lift up and it will tilt towards the back. Models vary though.
