My mother had slightly elevated BUN and creatinine and elevated liver enzymes. The doctor ordered an ultrasound which showed a cyst on her left kidney and a spot on her right kidney. The report did not say what the spot was on her right kidney was but it suggested a CT scan for the left. Her liver looked fine on the ultrasound. She has no symptoms other then peroidic episodes of blood in her urine (that she did not tell anyone about). The doctor ordered more blood work and and wants to see her back in his office in 2 weeks. Would a simple kidney cyst cause an elevated BUN and creatnine and could the elevated liver enzymes be related?
