My unit was working fine, then all of a sudden the auto switch was not starting the air. They told me to change the thermostat but that did not help either. It would start then shut off right away. When I checked my outside unit, it didn't come on at all, but it was blowing air. Please advise.

What was blowing air? The outside unit or the inside unit.

Brand and exact model of the indoor unit and outdoor unit??
