Hi. My boyfriend and all of his friends go out to play Texas Hold'em every couple of days, and are talking about it for a while after. i was wondering if someone could explain the rules to me, just so i know what is going on when they talk about it.

Your browser is too old - Texas Holdem Poker (http://www.texasholdem-poker.com/beginnersintro)

Read this website - it seems to cover the basics for you

Ok, this is not all of it, but here are some rules
According to the order you pay blinds that rotate around the table
You and everyone else are dealt 2 cards
You my bet or put in money that others may also pay or "fold" and not play that hand
Three cards are dealt out
Can bet
Another card is dealt out
Can bet
Another card is dealtt out
Final bet
Now using your cards and the 5 in the middle you must beat everyone else to get all the money spent that hand
Order:
Highest card
Pair
Two pair
Three of a kind
Straight(A,2,3,4,5 NOT Q,K,A,2,3)
Flush 5 cards of the same suit
Pair and three of a kind
Four of a kind
Straight and flush (same 5 cards)
Highest possible straigt and flush
