I'm retired and I'm a resident of Florida I live in Florida for 7 months a year and 5 months in New York. I have real estate in New York. Do I have to pay New York State income tax?

Do you earn income in NY? This should be posted inthe Tax forum.

If you live 5 months in New York, New York will want to tax 5/12ths of your income as a part-year resident.

Of course, if you do not have any NY-based income, they may not know you are there.
