My husband daugther was born in Japan. He has a court order to add his name to the birth certicate. How can u add a name to someone who was born outside the us. The birth mother can easy add it but hasn't. Does anyone know the steps that need to be taking.

Is the birth mother ok with the change ? If the birth mother is ok with it, no problem, if the birth mother does not want it, you are not going to make it happen

there is a oourt order to add his name...however she won't...

you go back to the court that ordered her to add the name, and have them either have her found in contempt or have that court issue the court order

Was the child born on American recognized soil like a base or are they japanese national.
