Hi... my first ever question!

I have a 50" Hitachi P50H401 Plasma TV about 2 years old... working absolutely fine up until this morning. I turn it on (both via remote or button on the screen itself) it activates, remains on for about a second then shuts off again.

I've been through the troubleshooting manual Hitachi kindly left before vacating the country (no support) reattached cables, left the TV off at the wall, changed batteries in remote etc and nothing seems to change.

If this is a problem that requires a technician, can anybody recommend one. I'm in the South of Sydney.

Thanks heaps in advance

Hi! Mcatmos, welcome to AMHD :)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news :(

The set is detecting a fault, and any of the boards can trigger a fault. The only way to fix this is have an experienced tech diagnose which component it is.

The set is shutting down to protect the other components.

Thanks KUXJ,

I guess that makes sense... Looks like no TV for me over the weekend then. Might have to... (gulp) exercise or something !!
