Hello,
I have a 4 months old girl and I am suffering from constipation. I have tried everything high fiber diet, psyillium supplements, fresh fruits and vegetables 3 liters water everyday, but my stools remain hard which eventually lead to fissure. I developed one after delivery for which stimulant laxative was prescribed. I accidentally used it for 3 months after refreshing my fissure. I stopped taking it and had to suffer terrible constipation where I was full but can't get it out. However after taking fiber supplement I am regular now, get bowel movement once or twice a day but stool remain hard further I am facing incomplete evacuation ( I don't have any prolapse)with this never ending bout of constipation. I can't use stool softener such as colace as I am breatsfeeding. Can you suggest me any natural source for stool softening? I want to try flax seed now, can I use it safely while breastfeeding? If not then could you please advise me about any remedy which will soften my stool as my main problem is hard stools and incomplete evacuation. Kind Regards
Ritu
