My husband has several credit cards, but my name is not on them as an authorized user. Is it against the law if I use them or are they subject to community property laws. Does it make a difference if he aquired them before or after we were married?

If he gives you permission to use them, then it's legal as far as I'm aware.

My husband has used my cards on multiple occasions without him being named an authorized user.
