Hi,

I had the swineflu and all of a sudden Iīm breaking out really badly.

Itīs on the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin. Really nasty and looks really red because my skin is really white.

Any advice?

Do you mean you had the swine flu (H1N1) vaccination and you are breaking out from it ?

Hi Tickle,

No, I had the swine flu (H1N1), there is no vaccin available yet in my country (Scandinavia). Wonīt be until late November.

Iīm recovering, but I have really bad break-outs in my face.

Could it be because I sweated so much and was so weak I had difficulty washing my hair for five days (Yukk)?

hi lily, we have startied vaccinations here in our area (southern ontario) this week and supplies are limited in some areas. In Toronto there were three hour line ups, and they eventually ran out of supplies.

it is kind of hard to say if your acne problem is related to recovering from H1N1. In the healthcare sector we are only concerned with the damaging effects of this flu. The outcome in some cases is viral pneumonia. You could be right about the perspiration bringing impurities out of your skin, manifesting in acne outbreak. Are you normally prone to acne outbreaks?

All people with underlying diseases or problems have been vaccinated, but I wouldnīt get it until late November. In any case I donīt have to worry about it because Iīve had it.

Yes, I do get the occasional acne just before my periods, and Iīm expecting mine in a week. But this outbreak is so bad, plus my skin is red and swollen.

Best,
Lily
