My son who was living with his mother was murdered in front of his house (drive by shooting). Now, the mother is still asking me to pay backsupport. I'm going through a tough time as is with his death plus I got laid off from work and having a hard time paying what was left. Do I still have to pay backsupport? I'm not sure if this is part of the law or if she is still just trying to get more money out of me that I can't afford.

Very sorry for your loss and current situation. If you were in arears when he died you still owe her the money she spent to raise him when he was alive.

Sorry for your loss but yes, you still owe back support, just no future support.
