i moved in about 2.5 months ago to anew place and i was shy of qualifyin bc my revenue was short a few grand, so i had to get a cosigner, which i didnt want to from the beginning, so i asked a friend to be on the lease with me so it qualify us, she never moved in with me and office was aware of that, now, she is looking to get a place on her own and wants me to take her off the lease... how would i go about it???? any help would be appreciated as its been too long now and she is not wantin to sign a new lease until i remove her...

Approach the landlord - the landlord is under no obligation to release her, though.

She can have as many leases as she wants. She doesn't have to come off your lease to sign a new one. I doubt the LL will agree to this since the other person is your financial fall back and will need to pay if you ever default.

I am sure that the rental owners will not want to take her off of the lease ( there is no reason to) this gives them another person they can sue for money if you go into default.

but she is free to get another rental if she wants to
