You don't "post" to a journal. You journalize in it. You post to accounts.

Anything you are paying for that does not have its own column on the journal goes under "other." That's there because you can't include every account you might possibly have to debit. So you put the amount under "other" and then list the account name on the line, which tells you where that one is supposed to go.
