It is possible to get the most popular votes and not become president. Why not join The National Popular Vote movement so we can change this?

And I'll add that part of the problem was the lack of education of the average citizen as well as the possibility that votes would be "bought," which was a common practice. Well put, Scott. earl237 Oct 30, 2009, 12:03 PM I don't think that the electoral college is the problem with elections, I think that a major problem with voting is that even the stupidest people are allowed to vote.
