hi im new here..:) i was just curious why sometimes the day after having sex, i find it difficult to urinate? it feels painful and when i urinate, only a few comes out.. i am now drinking tea and lots of water to aleviate the pain.. but it doesnt feel useful so far.. :( please help me out?:( [COLOR="DarkGreen"]thanks alot..

but i dont have hematuria, my urine doesnt have a strong smell, and i dont have a fever. could intercourse be a cause of UTI?

You may not fit all of the criteria for cystitis but that does not mean if left unchecked,you will not have it.
Yes ,intercourse is often the cause.
It was commonly known as honeymoon cystitis.

You don't need a gynecologist for this.If you have a GP he /she can address it just as well.

Taking cranberry tablets or drinking the juice (unsweetened) really helps mild cystitis.

Normal tea is no good, becasue it's an astringent.

Make sure you go to the toilet before and after sex and if necessary, wipe your vulva with a face washer to clean the area after sex.

Also make sure that you're well lubricated during sex so that there is not too much pulling on the urethra.
