Hi Experts
Our dog collided with a rose bush and cut her cheek, it healed up to a scab which she scrat off. This healed up and she scrat it again. We put a collar round her neck which protected the wound which has scabbed over again. The collar has been on for almost three weeks, the scab has not dropped off yet. Should we just leave it to drop off by itself or could we put somthing on the scab to soften it and help it off?

You can do mild salt washes to help dry it out faster.

Just get a cup of warm water and put in about 1/2 teaspoon of salt, mix it up and apply it to the wound with a cotton ball several times daily.

This is what I do when mine get hot spots and they dry up and fall of very quickly.
