Can anyone help with a ipod touch 8gb. It won't turn on even when plugged into the computer it's just black screen, in fact when I plug it in it does not even register that I have done so!

It is less than a year old so not too happy with this. has anyone else had this problem.

Occam's razor - all things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be the best one

Firstly, try a different computer, then a different cable.
If this doesn't work the ipod is defiantly faulty. Because it's still under a year old, get it to a apple dealer or contact apple to pickup the unit from you for free.
They will either repair or replace depending on witch option is the best.
