The Past month or so i go to sit down to go to the bathroom and i dont pass a bowel movement but when i go to wipe there is blood coming out of my rectum , i finally took a bowel movement about 10 minutes later! the toilet paper has blood all over it and noticed there was some blood attached to my stool and my stool was green, my stool being green has been going on for about a week but the blood coming out of my rectum has been going on off and on for a month , i feel isnt right ! should i be worried ? I went to see a doctor but he told me its nothing to worry about but it keeps happening! what should i do ? my mom has Diverticulitis shes had problems with her intestines since she was 16 ! Please Help

It sounds like you're constipated and because you have to strain so hard to have a bowel movement your rectum is tearing.

Of course this is just a guess, no one on this site can give you an accurate diagnosis.

Did you doctor do any tests?

How much water do you drink? Do you have a daily intake of fiber?

Try a change in diet to promote looser bowels, fiber, water, ruffage. That may help.

If you're really concerned then get a second opinion from another doctor. Make sure to mention your family history.

Blood in your stool or coming out of your rectum should be a sure sign to go to the doctor, or even the ER immediately. It could be anything from something common to a sign of colon cancer or any other diseases
