Hey do you guys consider this dark skinned (on an African American scale)

http://www.thahotseat.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/chilli.jpg

And do you like that shade above better or this shade better

....Or are they pretty much the same shade?

I think the second photo is darker skinned but I don't consider either one to be dark skinned.

The lighting on the second photo is a bit dimmer than the one of Chilli in the first, so it could be lighting as the 2nd photo the girl's hands are still light. I would consider them as both about the same shade, they have that caramel-golden color and I would personally consider them as light brown/light skin somewhat.

The second one is Vashtie! Thats my girl! But I would consider them lightbrown. If I were trying to describe them to a friend, thats what I would say.

I appreciate you adding more pictures. But can you please remove them? I don't want to confuse the future opinions of others? I know how each of them look in different settings. But I want to see which color is lighter in those specific pictures. Thanks. I know you were just trying to help! But I'm comparing those two specific shades in the pictures.

I dont like one more than the other really, both of them have features that go with their shade.

Same exact shade, more or less a half shade difference. If you look at the second pic you will see she has side burns and darker hair and eyebrows than Chili so some people may think she is darker because of this, but they really do look the same shade. Also this shade is nowhere near dark-skinned in the african-american community.

..mid range IMO but I'm sure that it'd be hard to get a consensus...

for instance, they'd be average to most of my maternal grandmother's family
a bit light-skinned to my maternal grandfather's fam.
average to my paternal grandfather's fam
quite dark-skinned to my paternal grandmother's fam.

Even with this I'm generalizing, just going by observations, & guessing.

I think it's a deep caramel color. nice!
