I did my hair at home and have to many highlights and to much blonde in sections of my hair. In would like to go back to dark brown, how can I do this at home?

If you want to go back to dark brown, you'll have to add in red. The formulators of brown dyes assume that the hair will have a lot of red in it (from the action of peroxide), so they add in a lot of green. If you don't have red in the hair already, it will turn out greenish unless you add in the red.

By the way, this is tricky. You can mix red dye of the same brand and color line with the brown you wish.
