We will need a little more imformation on your system to help you, model number of the furnace to start. Does anything try to start on the furnace? We cant read minds, give as much description as you can. Thanks!

the furnace works fine I was able to get it working when the thermostat fell to 89 but the thermostat is indicating an incorrect temp. The heat will not go over 90 so the furnace qwill only go on if I canget the thermo to say 69. The actual temp in the house is below 65 at this point but it says 95 on the thermostat. the problem is not the furnace it is the thermostat. What do I have to do?

Time to replace the thermostat. There really isnt any adjusting. You can try removing the batteries and letting it sit blank for a few minutes.

Try to find a honeywell or white-rodgers to replace it,be sure to purchase the right thermostat for your system. Stay away from Hunter or Maple-chase,not very reliable thermostats. Good-luck!
