listening to the other person speak.

keep eye contact and ask revelant questions.

be aware of your body language.

mirror body language.

dont jump in with your opinion.

two way communication,and not one way works better.

it takes practice,but keep trying and you will improve.

Hi there,
If you live in the states, there is a non-profit called Toast Masters. There are weekly meetings and the group is designed to teach better communication and leadership skills. From what I understand, these are learn by doing workshops that allow you to practice with each other in a very supportive setting. They have locations everywhere and it doesn't cost a lot. I am considering taking this myself.
