A few months before my Dad's death he added the children to the land title. He also had a line of credit. When we went to the bank to see about taking over payments, they informed us that what my Dad did with the land title was wrong (we live in Canada). Is the land title useless? He paid thousands! of dollars for a lawyer to do this. We had hoped to just be able to make payments until a time when we could pay the loc outright. Is our best action here to see about getting a loan in all of our names and pay his loc?

Regarding his will, I would have thought his 20% of land title would/could be used for any debts to be paid? Any insight to this is greatly appreciated.
