It seems that humans (including myself) Have all sorts of extra hair on ther bodies in strange places. I.E. legs, armpits, and pubic area. Also, facial hair.
What I wan to know is what is the purpose of all of this hair when we just shave it all off?
What purpose is/ was it supposed to serve?
Please don't give me the answer "to know when you've hit puberty" That is NOT WHY, that's just a result. So please, and explaination?

I think the generalized answer is that it keeps in heat - therefore some nationalities have more body hair than others.

Most mammals have hair all over their bodies -- for warmth. As people evolved, they lost most of the hair over parts of their bodies where it wasn't needed. In general, hair serves no purpose, except as insulation.
