I got HughesNet satellite service and this computer is hardwired to the router.
Firefox can't find servers with secure logins.
Our laptop can connect just fine so HughesNet say it is not their problem.
In Firefox/tools/Options/Advanced Network Settings the Manual Proxy Configuration is set.
HTTP proxy has an IP address

There are no other IP addresses until:
The No proxy setting for line below has the same IP address as the HTTP proxy.

I don't know if that helps but it seems some connection is being blocked when the site being saught has private information.
I have a web site with OS Commerce but that login works fine.

I have spent over 10 hours scouring the internet for clues so any solution would be much appreciated.
Barry.
