I am having an overheating problem with my marine generator, and now it appears a possible oil leak also.

After spending a couple of hours on the lake with gen. running, we headed to a marina restaurant, docked up and I shut down the generator. We stayed about 2 hours, came on and tried to start.
It gave me the LOC code, for loss of coolant, but was checked OK.Then after trying again to start it gave me a fault code of UU, or under voltage.

I have checked coolant and will be changing it out this weekend.
I feel like the thermostat may be a problem but I need a SEREVICE MANUAL to locate it.
Any advice on the UU fault code?

Were too many appliances still connected for it to restart?

I think the oil may be from the drain plug so I will check that. Any other ideas ? Filter is clean too.

Hi,
It seems a bit suspicious that it would give two different error codes; that sounds like bad electrical connection. A spec sheet is available at:
Kohler Power (http://www.kohlerpower.com/)
Where you can find an online Contact form and an 800 number.
There is a manual available at:
http://dl.owneriq.net/a/a8fdd3f3-7368-43a4-a491-42a86ec68384.pdf
And another at:
http://buckeyepowersales.com/Marine_Documentation/tp5413.pdf
Either is your model, but they are freely available. The manuals will give you an idea of where the various switches are located to check for problems.
I would check the battery terminals and cables for cleanliness, as well.
Peace,
Clarke
