This spider was hanging on a web just outside my screen window, biggest spider I've ever seen in this area. I was only able to get a picture of the underside of it, the top of the spider was brown with white spots/lines in the shape of a cross, the legs were striped as well. Does anyone have any ideas as to what type of spider this is?

Species Araneus diadematus - Cross Orbweaver - BugGuide.Net (http://bugguide.net/node/view/3376)

Could be an Orb weaver(?)

Had to spread the rep, Firmbeliever, but that's her.

Frostybabygurl, wait until morning and see if she spins a web. It's likely to be huge.

She's not dangerous, so don't be afraid.

Watch, take pictures, this is a really cool experience.
