Im going into my senior year in high school and i am not at all happy with my weight! Im 5'5'' and 118 lbs. Two years ago i was anorexic but found that wasnt the best way because i love, love, love food! Up until a week ago i was bulimic, then couldnt continue with that either. Ive tried diets and exercise but im very impatient and cant wait for results. Ive always been the pretty one in my family and my friends nicknamed me Barbie. I dont want to ruin my health by getting fat and im unhappy with the way i currently look. My bestfriend is gorgeous and shes very skinny because she use to be bulimic also. I just dont know what to do anymore ?

Please don't be like that. I am sure you are beautiful and skinny. 5'5" & 118lbs is not big at all. that is skinny. Almost to skinny.

You just have to have a strong will. You can always say no to the unhealthy foods and try being healthy. At your stature and weight I think it wouldn't kill you to have a burger now and then just don't go overboard.

I just dont know what to do anymore ?

Your first step has nothing to do with diets.

You need to seek professional help to deal with your eating disorder/s
You need to manage this problem and deal with your body image issues before you start anything.

If your friends call you Barbie then I highly doubt that you are overweight!
Your friend is probably severly underweight.

When you do begin the way to lost weight is not to starve yourself or throw up.
This infact does not make you lose any weight after the first week or so because you plateux, meaning your body goes into starvation mode and your metabloism slows down dramatically.

The secret is to eat a lot of small portions throughoutthe day, 5 small meals is perfect.
One meal may consist of an apple, the next a piece of wholegrain bread with tuna.. you can have things like yoghurt, crackers, diet wafers etc...

If you eat more meals it keeps your metabolism going therefore burning more calories.

The next important thing is exercise, toning your body can drastically change it's appearance without losing weight.

To get a toned body and flat tummy you actually need to put on weight, muscle weighs more than fat so if you notice you are putting on weight but you are looking more toned it is definately nothing to be concerned about.

5' 5'' and 118 lbs is by no means over weight.
When you get to a 32 size pants that is when you can begin to start to worry about your weight.
Being anorexic you should know that the disease is thinking you are fat even when you are too much underweight.

Take a multiple vitamin, eat healthy and take digestive enzymes thats all you need.

Cut out any diet drinks, artificial sweeteners, processed foods, junk foods, fast foods and eat as organic as you can especially organic drinks. Even the health foods and health drinks aren't always that healthy. Like Fuze and Snapple and the energy drinks are bad.

The very first thing you need to do is go to your garage, get a hammer and smash your scale until it no longer works.

Weight is a meaningless number. At 118 pounds, you are actually UNDER weight already. If you are not happy with the way you look, exercise... and eat MORE.

But as soon as you smash your scale, seek a professional. There are issues going on inside of you much more important than your weight.
