Hi.... please take the time to read this... I'm in alot of pain!!

I had a hole on my #2 tooth i believe (back right, last one i already got my wisdom teeth pulled)... and it (the hole) was right up by my gum line. I lost my insurance and it has taken months to try and get it back....impossible....So I needed a crown asap or it would surely turn into needing a root canal = more $$$. I have... on the opposite side on the bottom left...a "half tooth" i suppose.. it was a filling in my tooth that fell out and has gotton bigger in the last 1 year and 3-4months and has fallen apart to the gumline...painful... Ive been dealing with alot of dental problems for sometime now... I am 19 years old... perfect straight white smile and ate waay to many sweets and soda! and I'M already paying for it....literally....

ANYWAYS i just got the hole in my #2 tooth that needs the crown... sawed / drilled half way down on tuesday and got a temp crown until i get the fitted crown in 13 days.. I also got on the same day 3 fillings on the other side of my mouth (back left)... Today is the 3rd day and i am in IMENSE CONSTANT THROBBING PAIN on my entire top AND bottom right .
side!! From my teeth to my gums, FACE, JAW.... up to my ear... it hurts so bad. I knew i would be sore i reciecved 5 BOTTLES of amoxicillin, and 20 pain medication.... NO HELP! WHAT SO EVER!! I am in alot of pain and it hasnt stopped not ONCE today...... HELPPP!!!!!!!!!!! Could it be an infection??? Why is it that from my 1 tooth with temp filling would it be affecting the 5 teeth next to it and 5 teeth below it????? I have been expierencing tooth pain, sensitivity and aching throbbing pain for over a YEAR now and this is something new! It just won't stop!???

You should call the dentist right away. He (or she) should have an emergency number for situations like this. If you can't get the same dentist, call another one until you get a live dentist and explain that you are in extreme distress. If you aren't getting anywhere, try 911. Someone will help.

I wish I could tell you something more helpful. No one expects you to be in this much pain. Something's wrong.

Do you have a friend or parent who can help you? You should not drive in this condition.

Definitely get back to your dentist. Call him today and if you can't reach him call the hospital, most will have dentist on call to refer you to. There are always dental offices open on Saturday, call around until you can get in to see one.

It sounds like you have an infection brewing. It could be in any one of the teeth that were the most badly decayed. I'm guessing it's the one with the temporary crown but you won't know until you see the dentist.

The dentist should have taken periapical xrays (seperate xrays that show the root tips) of all the teeth with deep decay to see the condition at the root tip. While the holes were in the teeth there was a way for the infection to drain and now that they have been covered by fillings or a temporary crown, pressure is now building in the tooth.

There is such a condition as referred pain. A tooth that is bothering you on the top could cause teeth to ache on the bottom.

Take the antibiotic as directed and until finished even if you don't think it is helping. You also might want to use some extra strength Advil. If you have finished all the pain killers you can alternate ES Advil and ES Tylenol every 2 hours until you get in to see the dentist and as long as you don't have any allergies to either.
