I need help. I am medium skin close to dark skin and I joined the swim team. I need a sunblock .. badly. I'm not trying to get any darker than what I already am. I'm outside everyday of the week for a couple hours & I don't want to go back to school darker than what I am.

Get one with a high SPF ; I'd say 30 or higher.

I am very blonde and light skinned - I wear a 55, never less than that.

I wear 50, so do my kids, but they're still tanned.

It's more to protect your skin, preventing a tan, well, it helps, but it doesn't completely block the sun from tanning you.

I've heard that there is now an SPF 80, but I haven't seen it.

80? I think 80 is a poncho. My kids and I are dark skinned also. We use 50 at the beach, and 30 everywhere else.
