yes. cookies and chips are junk food. the only way to lose and/or maintain your weight is through diet and exercise. do you really hate all exercise? i hate going to the gym to work out. but i enjoy going for a bike ride. and i love water aerobics. even just taking a walk everyday is better than nothing. and having a work out buddy helps.
as for resisting eating, that's all entirely up to you. my problem is if there's food there, i'll eat it. it doesn't matter if i'm hungry or not. i'll eat it just because it's there. my solution, i just don't buy a lot of things anymore. at least not as often. and when i do buy things like cookies and chips, i find that i eat less of them at a time if i take a portion and put the container away rather than taking the whole container with me. if you absolutely cannot go without chips and cookies, at least look for the "healthiest" ones. baked chips instead of fried chips. making your own oatmeal cookies with extra dried fruits and maybe some nuts is a much better than store bought cookies loaded with high fructose corn syrup and things i can't pronounce.
by the way, how tall are you and what's your weight? i notice your picture is of a thin woman.
