Going to the gym is great; good job! Have you spoken to any of the fitness trainers; if you haven't please do. Not only will they help you learn the proper technique to get better use of the machines but they will also direct in other areas of fitness.
I'd also like to ask you:
What else are you doing?
•Are you eating healthier? Have you added more veggies and fruits to your diet? Also reduced your sodium, caffeine, and your junk food intake to a bare minimum?
•The days that you are not at the gym are you exercising at all? Jogging, swimming, pilates--- any type of cardio?
•Are you drinking more water and less juice and soda?
I'm happy to know that you want to lose that weight. It'll benefit not only you but your children too!
NOTE: I would suggest going to your doctor and ask him if it's okay to change your diet and commence weight loss. Explain to him your goals. If you are healthy I am positive he will give you the green light, however if you do have health problems you may have to do weight loss differently, in which your doctor will tell you how.
