It's very normal, and may take up to 6 months or longer before your period returns. Unfortunately Depo takes a long time to get out of your system, but it eventually does.

Hey there,I was on the depo for about a yr. and a half, having gotten the last shot in the end of October of 2008.Just last week was when i got my period on July 31st 2009.I was expecting it to be a horrible heavy, painful period from all the horros stories i had read about, but suprisingly it was a normal period,a few cramps here and there the first day,but that's it.It even lasted fewer days than when i used to have it before the depo. Now i wonder how long it will take me to get preggers :) I'm dying to have a baby! :p
