I am a 20yr old female and I have been trying to get into shape for a little while now. I have never really been overweight by a lot - the most I've ever weighed is 120lbs (I'm about 5'4) - but it wasn't muscle. Now, I am a lot more muscular but I still have a little bit of love handle-ness left on my body. I HATE it so much. I don't want it there and it seems as if it's not going away.

I exercise six days a week and when I say exercise I mean that I: cardio for at least 25min/day (run, bike, etc), lift weights for all muscle groups and work my abs out. Underneath my thin layer of fat I can feel (and in some areas even see) my ab muscles but I just can't get the thin layer off! I eat a decent diet: oatmeal or eggs for breakfast and then another 4-5 small meals the rest of the day. I make sure to get enough fiber, protein and other essentials. Does anyone have any ideas to help me get rid of the last bit of fat on my abdominal/hip area?

Thanks! - and if I left anything out that you want/need to know, just ask! -

Hello.

Sounds like your doing a good job. Sometimes stubborn areas take time, sometimes even a whole year.

Keep doing what your doing and don't forget to relax once in a while, you may be so fixated on being lean that you think you are creating these love handles in your mind-- after this it may be your thighs, next your arms...

Like I said it may be that your obsessed with being trim OR it may just be a stubborn spot that will "disappear" overtime.

Thanks. I think it's a stubborn area more so than me being obsessed but hopefully it doesn't take as long as an entire year! lol.
