I am a 48 year female with recent severe imsomnia. I am perimenopausal. I work 55-60 hours a weeks, (but having been working such hours for the past 2 years), and I need my sleep. Any suggestions? Thank you.

You could be over stressed.
I was overstressed for 30 some years and drank a lot of Pepsi.
I started having what I thought were normal hot flashes. I also started noticing I couldn't remember a lot of things. A friend of mine has the same problem and he can't sleep at all.
Anyway what I came to the conclusion of is that we have adrenaline stress.

You really would need to get a doctor to diagnose you but keep that in mind as a possibility for when you do talk to a doctor.
