Gud day! I'm 44 years old,has three children and was ligated 19 years ago. I have been continuously menstruating or bleeding for 1 month now. I consulted an OB-GYN and had a pelvic ultrasound. The ultrasound result showed thickened endometrial lining measuring 18mm and a submucous myoma. My doctor told me I need to undergo D&C to determine if its cancerous. Then, depending on the biopsy result,I may need a hysterectomy or a progesterone replacement. Since I have ligated 19 years ago, it's ok with me if they'll remove my uterus. But the doctor said that if its cancerous lymph node dissection will be done aside from hysterectomy. I want to ask if it's ok to just proceed with the surgery and not to do D&C anymore? Is it ok to just remove the uterus and lymph nodes at once?Thank you very much and I appreciate the reply.
