My Indian coworker advises you NOT to put a tattoo into Sanskrit. The language is rarely used (only in religious and scientific texts--modern words are not in it), few people can read and write it, and you will very likely get the wrong information for "love me faithfully" (so that your tattoo will really be saying something else, like "feed my monkey").

A tattoo in Arabic would have a similar look, is very common, and most people from Egypt and the Mideast will be able to read it.
