Can anyone tell me if a convicted Felon of a non-violent crime can enter the UK to make a connecting flight? We would only be there a matter of hours. The country we are traveling to is part of Schengen Zone so we know we can enter there without a problem its just getting into the UK

He has finished probhation & served no jail time-He was issued the passport in June 2009.

I have contacted the US embassay in Britian, the Britian embassay in the US, & the Boarder/Immigration officials & they have all just pointed me to one another with no one answering my question.
If anyone knows-Please help!
Many Thanks!
