replace this condenser fan on my central air unit. the fan work fine and cycles on and off.
the problem that i'm having is, when it gets hot, it stops working. the fan that is a close fan
with no air vents and is suppose to operate a higher temperature than vented fans. when it cools down it starts again. the fan motor that I replace was a motor that had air vents, but
at the time it was not available. what do I do.

are you talking about your blower motor or your condenser motor?
sounds to me like you installed the wrong fan.

you are right. I was sold a fan motor that was undersize. 1/6 hp...needed 1/3rd hp.
no hp stated on old motor. counter man made the mistake in figuring out the hp needed.
company made it good at no charge. air works just fine. thanks
