I have hears that only fermented soy products are good for you and that other soy products change your hormones, make you fat and should not be given to males. Is this true?

Soy as a rule is just animal feed to make the pig or cattle gain weight. The same holds true when soy is eaten by humans. Soy also causes digestive problems in a lot of people. I used to eat roasted soy beans and I had a lot of digestive problems until I stopped. Soy milk can cause problems as well. The only soy products that don't cause problems is soy sauce manufactured in Japan. The American version causes problems as the GM soybeans are used.

Many vegans get there protein from soy products. How many overweight vegetarians are there. It is possible that it doesn't sit well with you. My son is lactose intolerant and switched to soy milk and has helped him greatly. I also use soy products and soy milk and have never had a problem. I am a certified personal trainer and often recommend soy products so that people can still get there protein and lose weight. However I am not a nutritionist or dietitian.
