Hi! bobbyjay1247, and Welcome to AMHD :)

Any installation problems?
Did this just start?
Wireless? if not check connections.

You may have to uninstall/reinstall printer program.

Bobby,

According to the Lexmark website www.lexmark.com (http://www.lexmark.com) >> Drivers and Downloads >> OS Compatability >> Inkjet printers, the 1290 has a driver for Vista.

That said, it means that Lexmark supports the 1290 on Vista.

So, we need to look at how your printer is being connected to the laptop and the printer itself.

Start by using the printer's on-board maintence menus to test the printer. If you get printout, then you just isolated the problem to either the communication link between the printer and the laptop.

Once you get that done, then you need to step through the installation process for the printer to make sure you have it installed properly.
