I am starting a commercial cleaning business and I need to know how to bid on different jobs and also how to find the smaller office cleaning jobs.

Hi, shamusl23!

What are some specifics about certain jobs that you'd like to bid on, please?

If you need help with advertising and promotion of your business, I can definitely help you with that.

Thanks!

Starting with smaller jobs is the best way; smaller banks, offices, retail, offices in warehouses, etc.

Many ways to advertise; Internet, brochures, flyers, join social and business groups and cold calling which I recommend as the fastest way to get new business.

In my opinion, for smaller jobs, it is probably better to quote using the hours you feel are necessary to complete the job on a daily basis and extend that to a monthly price. This will give you your labor costs, then add in your overhead; taxes, supplies, equipment, etc. Then add in your profit.

Do this on a daily basis, extend this to annual and divide by 12 (months) for your monthly price (cost).
