If I accept a temporary job in a city too far to commute to, what expenses are deductible on my income taxes?

The IRS looks at these deductions very carefully, and will disallow deductions for a job where the father/mother, by personal choice, decides to work and live in another city for an extended (over one year) period of time. Any job that exceeds one year in length is NO LONGER considered to be temporary in nature. Copyright ©2005-, Ask Me Help Desk
