When i turn my a/c unit on i can here the fan turn on, but there is no cold air coming from it. the longer i leave the a/c on the hotter the house get. what do i need to do. do i need to get it charged. the heating side of the unit is gas operated thats what i was told and the a/c side is electrical how true is that i need help!

First thing to do is turn to ac, then go outside and see if the outdoor unit is running at all. Then we can go from there.
