The thermostat was changed and he didn't turn it off first. It is a kenmore a/c, can anyone tell me where to look for the reset button?

is possible the transformer has been blown,,do you have a tester to check for 24 volts coming out of the transformer?
or maybe just a fuse that plugs into the circuit board
