I recently had a hair test for alcohol, my FAEE were positive but my Etg were negative, infact the Etg was under a tee totaller but the FAEE said i was a chronic alcoholic, I know that i did not drink for the 6 months that was asked not to, when they did the test they asked if i was bulimic or had lost an ecxess of weight i lied and said no, i have also phoned the lab and they confirmed in i did not let them know this is can alter the test results, it also says on the faq page that losing excess weight or diet can affect the tests results, can anyone enlighten me about this, as i know i did not drink 4 six months and they are trying to say that the positive outways the negative test, we have contacted them about disclosing my bulimia and my solicitors are awaiting confirmation of if this makes a difference thsi can be the only possibility of the positive test and is driving me mad!
